ASM 2020 Speakers

We are busy confirming our speakers for the #ANZUP2020 ASM. So far we have confirmed the below international faculty. 

International faculty
  Dr Cristiane Decat Bergerot, Ph.D., is a psychologist from Brazil with expertise in Health Psychology and Behavioral Science. She has been working with cancer patients for almost fifteen years as a clinician and as a researcher. Over this period, she had the opportunity to implement a biopsychosocial screening program at her parent institution. She is also a pioneer in the emerging field of psychogenomics, correlating genomic findings with psychological status. She is currently doing an extended postdoctoral fellowship at City of Hope in the Genitourinary Department. 
  Professor Bertrand Tombal is Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Universite Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels, Belgium. He is President of European Organisation for Research and Treatment Cancer (EORTC). 
 

 
Professor Christopher Sweeney
g
raduated from the University of Adelaide in 1993 and is a Medical Oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a Professor at Harvard Medical School. His academic focus is on the management of genitouri­nary malignancies, with a special interest in management of advanced prostate and testicular cancer.
  Professor Heather Payne was appointed professor of prostate oncology at London University which has led to many collaborations and research in the departments of physics, nuclear medicine, pharmacology and radiology. She is Principal Investigator in a number of international multi-centre and local studies. She is also the chair of the British Uro-oncology Group (BUG) and the Oncology Clinical Lead for National Prostate Cancer audit.

Professor Matthew Galsky is a medical oncologist focused on the care of patients with bladder cancer. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and subsequently completed training in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Centre/Harvard Medical School. He completed medical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre where he served as Chief Fellow.

  Professor Karen Knudsen is EVP of Oncology Services and Enterprise Director of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC) at Jefferson. Dr. Knudsen oversees cancer research and cancer patient care across Jefferson Health. Dr. Knudsen’s expertise is in developing new means to treat advanced prostate cancer, and discovering genetic alterations that contribute to disease progression.
  A/Prof Sima Porten is a Urologist at University of California, San Francisco, US. She recieved her undergraduate, doctoral and public health degrees from Northwestern University completing her education in June 2006. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Honor Society during medical school and also completed a Howard Hughes Medical Institute-NIH Research Scholars fellowship during that time.
